About The Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our product team on high profile projects. The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of building Data warehouses using an appropriate ETL tool as a part of an overall analytics solution. The candidate should have strong hands-on technical experience in programming, SQL and data manipulation/transformation of large data sets using varied databases and platforms and a knowledge and experience of Google Analytics as well as Python and Spark libraries would be advantageous. Please note this is a fixed term appointment to cover maternity leave.
 
You will work closely with Architects and Tech Lead along with existing team members; to focus on in-depth development tasks to evolve our existing DWH solution

Minimum Criteria
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse design; Star schema and dimensional modelling
  • Previous experience of ETL/ELT toolsets
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Hands on experience with AWS Services i.e., EC2, S3, Lambda. 
  • Python Scripting
  • Code Repository Management (e.g. GitHub, Subversion, Bitbucket)
  • Has a CI/CD mind-set for release purposes 
Desirable
 
Proven experience of Oracle ODI
Familiarity with Snowflake
Experience with collaboration tools i.e., Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)
Understanding of machine learning or data science
Experience with working on the cloud, preferably with AWS
Practical understanding of AWS Code Family
Reporting layer experience with OAS/RPD toolsets would be a
dvantageous.
