About The Role

The Senior Pricing Analyst role is responsible for being the subject expert on pricing, performance, and opportunities across a portfolio of products. With the opportunity to work across multiple brands, models and sectors meaning in this role you can make a real difference to our customers in terms of choice and value. The role is key to ensuring that Pricing decisions reflect the changing dynamics within the industry and economy to ensure that changes to the future landscape are considerations in our longer-term pricing approach. With a strong focus on delivering sustainable, affordable customer pricing across a range of vehicles by balancing the needs of customers, manufacturers, and our own business objectives.

Working in Pricing you will be responsible for:

  • Ownership and subject expert for set model sectors e.g. Mini, MPV, Crossovers, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles etc
  • Use a data led approach to make pricing proposals to deliver better customer affordability, model choice while balancing the needs of Vehicle Manufacturers and Motability Operations
  • Work closely with Manufacturer Relations to align the pricing proposal and ensure its effective delivery to Manufacturers
  • Provide insight and content for monthly Pricing Policy Committee meetings
  • Ensure that the future industry dynamics (green agenda, & future mobility trends) remain at the forefront of decision making within pricing
  • Use all available information - including qualitative information such as customer and industry insight - to ensure that the scheme offering is fully optimised considering both MO and wider industry future direction
  • Present to senior management on a regular basis, delivering insight and influencing wider company strategy to create positive change in the business
  • Support the Pricing Manager with effective, timely communication to Motability around scheme pricing discussions (contractual KPIs, vehicle eligibility etc) to ensure they remain relevant considering the future automotive landscape

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to create detailed proposals which show good commercial awareness and the ability to present these too senior leadership
  • Proven understanding of core economic principles, the business environment, and analysis
  • Confident to challenge the ‘status quo’ to deliver best practise efficiency and governance processes, and desire for constant improvement
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Graduate in a discipline which demonstrates strong communication and analytical skills
  • Proactive approach to work, to best identify opportunities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines effectively

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Interest in the automotive industry
  • Experience working in an analytical or commercial role
  • Able to bring creative solutions to challenges
  • Effective communicator, able to build enduring relationships across the business and with third-party suppliers
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent high quality
  • Takes ownership of issues and is resourceful in finding solutions
