About The Role

Motability Operations is looking for a strategically minded, commercially focused, and customer-centric Product Manager to lead our Finance Product Team. You will be responsible for shaping the product vision and delivery strategy for the financial backbone of Motability Operations, ensuring our finance products, platforms, and processes support strong financial control, operational efficiency, and informed decision making across the business.

In this pivotal role, you will own and evolve the core accounting and financial operations systems that underpin MO, helping to ensure they deliver robust, scalable, and well-governed solutions that meet user needs and align with broader business and financial objectives. You will play a key role in driving product development that enhances financial insight, improves process effectiveness and efficiency, and supports the integrity of our end-to-end finance landscape.

Your leadership will be critical in enabling cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Technology, Data, and the wider business, ensuring product outcomes deliver measurable value for both our customers and the organisation.

You will also play an important role in supporting the Corporate Data product team, particularly in relation to strategic alignment, financial data dependencies, and the integration of finance product priorities with broader enterprise data objectives.

About You

You have a proven track record of working with stakeholders at all levels to build consensus and deliver meaningful outcomes, particularly in environments where strong commercial judgement, governance, and prioritisation are essential. You are confident engaging a wide range of stakeholders, balancing differing priorities and requirements to shape and evolve a strategic roadmap that maximises business value, supports financial objectives, and meets customer needs in a changing market.

You bring a strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and operational considerations, alongside the ability to translate business needs into effective product direction. Your natural curiosity helps you get to the root of issues, challenge assumptions, and guide teams towards the right solutions.

You are passionate about delivering commercial and financial outcomes, with a clear appreciation of how technology, systems, and data can improve decision making, increase efficiency, and strengthen performance. You understand the importance of high quality financial and operational data in driving insight, supporting governance, and enabling a test and learn approach to continuous improvement.

You have experience working on, alongside or the implementation of ERP, finance, and accounting systems, and understand how these platforms support financial operations, governance, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

As an effective communicator and people leader, you have experience developing teams through regular meetings, one-to-ones, and performance reviews, while creating a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and growth.
Minimum Criteria
  • Demonstrable experience in product management or related roles.
  • Proven experience in developing successful product strategies & roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with common product management tooling incl JIRA, Confluence & Miro
  • While a technical background is not expected, you are expected to have knowledge/experience of the software development lifecycle
